Drain cleaner |
for cleaner, nicer smelling drain
use 1 recipe per drain
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup baking soda
Mix and drop into drain.
Follow with 2 cups of boiling water.
Let it sit for about 60 seconds and
run tap water through.
(If using in kitchen sink, same as above, but run
disposal while pouring boiling water.) |

COPPER / BRASS CLEANER |
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup powdered detergent
3/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup very warm water
Mix corn starch, salt and detergent.
Add remaining ingredients and stir.
Pour some of the cleaner on brass/copper surface
and rub gently with a cotton
cloth. For tough spots,
scrub with a soft bristle brush. Rinse, dry and polish
with a soft cloth.
Seal mixture in a container and
label for future use.

Carpet Freshener |
3/4 cup baking soda
2 tbsp corn starch
1/4 cup perfumed talcum powder
Combine, then sprinkle on dry carpet.
Let stand 5 to 15 minutes, vacuum.
